Star Wars: Darth Vader Cold-Cast Statue Darth Vader, also known as Lord Vader or Dark Lord of the Sith, is the embodiment of the Empire's tyranny. As the Emperor's emissary and the ultimate symbol of evil, he is mandated to destroy the Rebel Alliance. In his youth, Vader was Anakin Skywalker, a disciple of Obi-Wan Kenobi and a legendary Jedi Knight. Seduced by the dark side, he helped exterminate the Jedi during the last days of the Old Republic. Kept alive by a respirator, his entire suit is utilized as a life-support system, disguising his severly burned and maimed body. Vader's telekinetic skills and powerful use of the Force make him a master of evil and a formidable enemy.
