Manga, StatuesRequiem Statue - nick & dent "Requiem," inspired by an illustration by Masamune Shirow, is the incredible follow-up to the inaugural Dark Horse statue release "Morning Star" (Dec. 1999). Requiem also comes from Intron Depot II: Blades, a collection of Mr. Shirow's color illustrations. As with Morning Star, the sculpting for Requiem has been handled by Sam Greenwell, in full cooperation and approval with Mr. Shirow. These statues represent a new standard for Dark Horse: each is exquisitely detailed in likeness and color.
Intron Depot: Morning Star Statue - nick & dent Dark Horse Comics is pleased to announce one of it's most ambitious cold-cast pieces to date, a stunning interpertation that captures the highly individual style of Masume Shirow. Based on an illustration from Intron Depot 2: Blades , this masterpiece is sculpted by U.S. talent Sam Greenwell. Mr. Shirow has been personally involved in approving this work as it has progressed--Including the interesting challenge of creating visual elements that did not appear in the illustration, such as the character's boots or the outside of the ornamental shield. Greenwell has effectively captured the unique anatomy of Shirow's art, and has breathed life into a fantasy femme fatale by translating her dangerous beauty from two dimensions into three.
